WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?

First of all, in order to get amazing Newborn photos of your baby, you have to think strategically and book the Newborn photoshoot while you are still pregnant. It's always a good idea to book in advance, as the photographer might not have availability at the time your little miracle arrives...

Most parents will schedule a Newborn photo session while the second or at the beginning of the third trimester.

And the best time for the Newborn photo session would be between 5 and 14 days after birth.

This is the best period for photographing your baby, as he or she will be still very sleepy for the most part and it will be easier to achieve sweet and curly poses.

If your baby is older, but you still want to get amazing photos of your baby, that is still possible!

You just have to keep in mind, that your baby might be awake a lot or even while the whole time of the photoshoot and will be stretching arms and legs... In my opinion, these photos look unique and amazing in their own way!

WHERE THE NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION CAN BE DONE?

For the very best result, the Newborn photo session should be done in Photo Studio. Newborn photography is one of the more complicated types of photography and requires high-quality equipment, including heavy-duty strobe flashlights and different props as well.

In rare cases, you can't travel to my studio or if the baby doesn't like to be in a strange environment, it is possible for the photographer to travel to your place. Generally speaking, it will cost extra and the photoshoot will most likely be limited to one setup. But, don't worry, Light Fox Photography will always find the way to make it happen!

In the summer it is also possible to photograph your newborn outside. But only if the weather is warm enough for the baby to feel absolutely comfortable.

POSES AND THEMES

Baby's comfort is the number one priority for Light Fox Photography - Red Deer Newborn Photographer. So, even though we promise you super sweet high-quality images of your adorable baby, we can't guarantee every pose there is. As we never force any poses on the baby if he or she doesn't like it.

Sometimes the baby is asleep during the session, and sometimes wide awake, and it is not bad...,

it just means you will get awesome photos of your baby looking into the camera and maybe even smiling.

Newborn photography themes always include the seamless theme of the solid colour of your choice.

Depending on your photography package, the Newborn photoshoot may include also custom setups with props and Parents / Siblings & Baby portrait photos.

WHAT NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION INCLUDES?

After you book your Newborn photo session and pay the deposit you will get :

#1 Consultation over the phone, when you can describe your vision for the upcoming session so I could meet your expectations in the best way possible.

#2 You will have the option to pick outfits for your baby along with props.

#3 Family photo session in my photo studio.

#4 Online gallery with the preview images from your newborn photo session. Where you can pick your own favourite images with the opportunity to pick even more photos.

#5 Professional photo editing and retouching for your images.

#6 Option to order prints and photobooks.

#7 Print release for your images.

#8 And of course deals and discounts on future sessions.

WHAT IS NEXT?

I bet you can't wait to see your family photos! Bear with me and I will explain step by step what is gonna happen next.

#1 PREVIEWS

Within 1-2 weeks from the time the full payment was received for your Milestone photoshoot, you will receive an email with access to Online Gallery, which will hold the unedited and downsized images from your session (Previews).

Those images are provided to you so you could pick your own favourite photos (the amount will depend on the purchased package). You always can pick more photos for an extra fee.

You will have 3 weeks to create your favourite list before the galley will expire.

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to let me know when you are done to avoid delays.

#2 FULLY EDITED DIGITAL IMAGES

After 1-2 weeks from the time you picked your favourite images, you will receive 2 emails with 2 separate galleries, which will hold fully edited digital images from your photo session.

One of the galleries will hold images prepared for Printing Only and will be named "For Printing". Photos will be in High-Resolution (300 ppi) and will have no watermark.

Photos from this gallery are NOT allowed on any Web or Social Media.

The second gallery will hold the same images, prepared for Web/Social media posting.

And will be named "For Social Media". These images will be appropriately downsized to 72 ppi. for the best experience on any Website or Social Media (FaceBook, Instagram, etc...)

IMPORTANT: Make sure to download both galleries before the expiry date!

If you will fail to do so, it may result in a full loss of the images!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Light Fox Photography can't guarantee any certain newborn photography poses, as we don't force poses on babies if they don't like them.
The deposit is non-refundable and required upon booking. If you didn't pay the deposit, your date is not secured.
Full payment is required on the session date. The photographer won't start working on images until full payment is received.
2 week waiting period starts on the next day the full payment was received.
If you will fail to download your fully edited images by the expiry date it may result in the full loss of the images. Light Fox Photography is not liable to store images past the expiry date and can't be held responsible for the loss of images.
Only watermarked images are allowed on Web & Social Media
The customer is not allowed to edit images, except for the forced cropping on Instagram.
Light Fox Photography is not responsible for print quality if not printed directly by the photographer.
